Notes

A small notebook for reading, research, and things worth a second look.

Reading with a question

Before opening a paper, write down one question. After reading, return to it: what changed, what remains uncertain, and which evidence would help?

A useful note separates what the author shows from what the reader infers.

Keeping observations simple

Record the date, the setting, and what actually happened. Small, careful observations are easier to revisit than a confident conclusion without its context.

On the reading desk

Project Gutenberg for books, and arXiv for new research.
